Grady Hinton was reared in Olla, Louisiana. He received a BS in Chemical Engineering at Louisiana Tech in 1965. He met and married Patty Easter while they were attending Tech. Following college he worked for Monsanto for four year and four Conoco for 6 years. During those years he served as pant engineer, Process Superintendent, and Senior Engineer.
Life then took a dramatic turn as he attended seminary and became a minister. While in seminary he worked as a consulting engineer for a firm in Dallas, Texas. He was a pastor for 8 years and a chaplain for 20 years.
Grady has since retired and enjoys being an event speaker and after dinner speaker. There is nothing he likes better than telling his stories and watching people laugh.
